Berlin: A city that never sleeps

The capital city of Germany, Berlin is one of the most beautiful cities of the world. What makes Berlin more beautiful is its history. The city has a history of surviving devastating wars. Located at the border of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, Berghain is one of the top night clubs of Berlin. The club is located in a former power plant.

The club comprises of a main room as well as a smaller upstairs space known as the Panorama Bar. The Panorama Bar is decorated with large scale Wolfgang Tillmans photographs and gives a view of East Berlin.

Over the years, Berghain has gradually been associated with decadence and hedonism. Photography is strictly forbidden within the Berghain premises and there are no mirror like reflecting surfaces. Berghain is also famous for its lengthy opening hours. Berghain entered top 100 clubs of DJ magazine in 2011.

Matrix Club, Berlin

Located in Warschauer Platz, Matrix Club was opened in 1996. The club comprises of up to nine bars, four dance floors and one outdoor area. The venue has an overall size of 2,100 square meters which makes it one of the biggest clubs of Berlin.

The club has seen some of the international disc jockeys such as Chris Isaac, Westbam, Underground Resistance, Lady B, Lords of the Underground, Paul Van Dyk and other great artists perform between 1996 and 2002.

In about three years the club had its own truck at the Berlin love parade. The venue is not just a bar but also used for filmsets.

Watergate Club, Berlin

Unlike most of the clubs in Berlin, Watergate offers more than the usual graffiti and the rawness. It is one of the coolest places to be in Berlin.

Watergate has been one of the players in the nightlife of Berlin since 2002. The club is beautifully located in Falckensteinstraße, has very stylish interiors and impressive line ups.

When you visit Watergate, do not miss the sunrise early in the morning. The terrace located at the spree gives you a great view of the water.

There are two areas; upstairs where you have the main floor and the ground floor is called the Water floor. The main floor has one of the coolest light installations and is worth the visit.

Watergate has one of the best line ups for the techno, electro and house lovers. Many talented and famous DJs regularly play at the club.
